Only 5 more days...

Only 5 more days until I go to Santa Rosa to start doggy training! We are all very excited. I was told that I will train with 3 dogs for the first 3 days. On day 4 I will be told which dog will be the NEW UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Dog!!!

Right now, the only thing I know about the dog is:
  • it will be about 2 years old,
  • it will be either a golden retriever, a Labrador retriever or a mix of the 2,
  • and it already has a name

I don't even know if it will be a boy or a girl. Can you guess what the dogs name will be?? Please feel free to use the comment box below to guess the dog's name.

Thank you for reading and please stay tuned to hear more about the dogs and the training :)

That is soooooooo very cool Ms. Dog Whispererererer I'm quite jealous as we just attended a lecture at UH from a woman at Hawaii Canines for Independence who does just what you are venturing into. Another of the guest lecturers was a Child Psychologist from Kapiolani Children's Hospital who uses dogs in same fashion you will be in very near future. Given that context I'm quite jealous of what you'll be doing. You may want to spend an extra day of training w/ him or her to teach 'how to get along w/ Uncle Rich eh?!! Thanks for update

I could not be more excited for you Jenny. You are embarking on a relationship of a lifetime and you will learn more from this canine companionship than you ever dreamed or expected was possible. I'm so happy for you and you are perfect for this. I imagine this doggy will chose you! Not only will your gorgeous smile light up the room of the children you see, but now a furryfriend to work with. This furfriend will also bring lower stress to the people you work within the hospital, so many lives will benefit!....All the best and we will be tuned in. Thank you for the update..auntie Tina
